THE KIT:
This kit comes in a shrink-wrapped end opening type box. I am no big fan of this type of box. Invariably, PE frets or decals find their way past the end flaps to become lost. Give me a tray and lid type box any day of the week.
The box art shows a crew of 7 artillery crewmen manning a B-4 Soviet howitzer on tracks. The B-4 is done pale and ghost-like along with some trees in the background. It is a winter scene with snow on the ground.
The crewmen are all wearing khaki colored uniforms of greatcoats, black jack boots and budyonovka felt hats with a peak on top.
One crewman is manning the elevation wheel, a second one is standing next to the breech.
A third guy is giving directions to 2 guys with a ram rod. The sixth guy is holding a map.
The seventh guy is pulling a sled with a rope. This sled and rope are NOT in the kit.
One side panel has color illustrations of canvas satchels, followed by the statement that this kit is not a toy and is intended for modelers over the age of 14 in multiple languages including English.
The other side panel has a small illustration in color of the 7 figures, followed by the color box art of Trumpeter’s Soviet B-4 howitzer kit no. 02307 and MADE IN CHINA with Trumpeter’s street address in Macau and their web address.
The back of the box serves as the painting and assembly instructions in full color.
Small parts trees illustrations are to the side and a paint color listing of Mr. Hobby, Vallejo, Model Master, Tamiya and Humbrol hobby paints is suggested to use to complete the figures.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX:
The box contains 7 trees of tan parts. A and B trees are co-joined and so are C and D trees.
Trees are in 4 sealed cello bags.
Tan letter A tree, that is co-joined to tree B holds the figure of the crewman holding the map. He is divided into separate head, torso with lower back section of his greatcoat attached, arms, hip and thighs part, boots, front panels of his greatcoat, hands, map case and hat. (13 parts)
The co-joined tan letter B tree holds the crewman shown standing by the breech of the B-4 on the box art. He is divided into separate head, torso with lower back section of his greatcoat attached, arms, separate left hand, hip and thighs section, jack boots, cap and the front panel of his greatcoat.(10 parts)

I bought my kit at my local hobby shop to go with the Trumpeter B-4 howitzer that I have built (but not painted and weathered yet).
