HISTORY:
The Heinkel He 119 was an experimental single-propeller monoplane with two coupled engines, developed in Germany. A private venture by Heinkel to test radical ideas by the Günter brothers, the He 119 was originally intended to act as an unarmed reconnaissance bomber capable of eluding all fighters due to its high performance.
It had improved cooling and design of fuselage and wing, in comparison the V-1 and V-3. With its retractable cooler was higher not only during horizontal flight, but also during ascent when it was used. These improvements led to increased speed, which culminated during the record flight, when it reached a top speed of 604 km/h on September 22,1937.
Later, the airplane suffered heavy damage during a crash landing. It was caused by pilot Nitschke, when he forgot to switch the main fuel tank to spare one and was short of fuel.
The development project was then canceled.

THE KIT:
Planet Models is based in the Czech Republic. They manufacture resin kits.
This kit comes in an all-white end-opening type box.
I am no fan of this type of box, because invariably parts or the decal sheet will find their way past one of the end-flaps of the box to become lost forever. Give me a tray and lid type box any day of the week.
The box art shows a line drawing of the Heinkel He-119 V-4 in flight, flying above the countryside.
It is overall bare aluminum, with black fuselage code D-AUTE. Code is repeated larger under the wings. It has a red band across the rudder with a white circle with a square on it. Black propeller blades. The square, instead of the proper-swastika is because that symbol is illegal to show in countries where this kit is sold. On the decal sheet it is printed in halves and has to be re-assembled.

WHAT’S IN THE KIT:
The kit holds numerous tan resin parts such as the fuselage halves, propeller, rudder flap, elevator, seats, wings and a vacuformed cear canopy and the decal sheet.

Unfortunately, I have lost one of the elevators. Planet Models use to have a website and I sent an email asking if I can get an elevator but I was never able to get another one.
The instructions consist of a single-sheet that is printed on both sides and folded twice to fit the box.
The face side gives a one-paragraph history of the aircraft in English and Czech, with a 4-view line drawing for painting and marking purposes.
The reverse side of the instructions shows 2 exploded drawing to use for assembly of the model,
Detail is good and of the etched variety. No pilot figure is included.
Recommended.
