HISTORY:
The United States Navy Sea, Air, and Land (SEAL) Teams, commonly known as Navy SEALs, are the U.S. Navy's primary special operations force and a component of the Naval Special Warfare Command. Among the SEALs' main functions are conducting small-unit special operation missions in maritime, jungle, urban, arctic, mountainous, and desert environments. SEALs are typically ordered to capture or to eliminate high level targets, or to gather intelligence behind enemy lines.
All active SEALs are male and members of the U.S. Navy The CIA's highly secretive and elite Special Operations Group (SOG) recruits operators from SEAL Teams, with joint operations going back to the MACV-SOG during the Vietnam War. THE KIT:
Dragon is an old prolific model company based in Hong Kong, China. They manufacture all manner of model subjects in the popular scales.
This kit comes in a shrink-wrapped end-opening type box. I am no fan of this type of box, because invariably parts or the decal sheet will find their way past one of the end flaps to become lost forever. Give me a tree and lid type box any day of the week.
The box art shows 4 U.S. Navy Seals getting ready to enter a room with their weapons ready. All 4 wear khaki uniforms, have water bottles, LCS first aid kits and M-12 respirator cases on their belts..
Reading left to right the first man is bare-headed. He has a pair of night-vision goggles in front of his eyes. He wears an assault vest.
All 4 of the men are armed with various types of machine guns.
The 2nd man to the right has a black mask covering his head and is looking through a pair of goggles.
The 3rd man to the right is kneeling. He is holding a flashlight in his left hand and his machine gun in his right hand. He wears a kevlar-plastic helmet.
The 4th and last man is standing and he also wears a kevlar helmet.

One side panel of the box says: Kit contains parts for four figures. Paint & glue are not included. In 6 languages, including English. Each labeled with a color illustration of the flag of the country that speaks the language. Followed by the copyright of the kit as 1992 and Dragon’s street address in Hong Kong, China and the kit was made there.
The other side panel shows 2 color box arts of other figure kits that Dragon manufactures: Kit no. 3015, U.S. 1st Infantry Division “Big Red One” and Kit no. 3016. U.S. Sniper Team.
The bottom of the box serves as the assembly and painting instructions. It shows a front and back view of each of the 4 figures. Gunze Sangyo and Italeri brands of hobby paints are suggested.
At the bottom there are 4 line drawings of: a water bottle, LC.2 first aid pouch, assault vest and M-17 respirator case.
