HISTORY:
M1 Abrams:
The M1 Abrams is a third-generation American main battle tank designed by Chrysler Defense (now General Dynamics Land Systems) and named for General Creighton Abrams. Conceived for modern armored ground warfare and now one of the heaviest tanks in service at nearly 68 short tons (62 metric tons).
THE M60:
The M60 is an American second-generation main battle tank (MBT). It was officially standardized as the Tank, Combat, Full Tracked: 105-mm Gun, M60 in March 1959. Although developed from the M48 Patton, the M60 tank series was never officially christened as a Patton tank. The US Army considered it a "product-improved descendant" of the Patton tanks' design.
The track-width mine plow was used on both of these U.S. tanks.

THE KIT:
DML (sometimes called Dragon) is an old prolific model company based in Hong Kong, China. They manufacture all manner of plastic model kit subjects in the popular scales.
This kit came in a shrink-wrapped end-opening type box. Readers now that I’m no fan of this type of box. Because invariably parts or the decal sheet will find their way past one of the end-flaps to become lost forever. Give me a tray and lid type box any day of the week.
The cover art shows a color photo of an M-60 moving across a desert landscape, leading 4 other tanks behind it. It is overall light-grey and mounts a mine plough on its front. No markings are visible on it.
The right hand lower corner of the box art shows another color photo of a M-1 tank, throwing up a cloud of dust. It is in a base of light-grey with a dark-grey blotch pattern camouflage.
One side panel of the box says the kit contains parts for one mine plough model. Paints and glue are not included. In 6 languages, including English, that are labeled with color illustrations of the flags of the countries that speak the languages.
This is followed by DML’s U.S. Importer’s address in City of Industry, CA and their web address. For Marco Polo Import Inc. Copyright for the kit is 1992 and kit was made in Hong Kong, China.

The other side panel shows 3 color box arts of other kit that DML manufactures: Kit no. 6001, an Sd,Kfz. 164 “Nashorn” tank, Kit no. 6002, Waffen SS figures (Ardennes 1944/45) and Kit no. 6003, Waffen SS figures (Normandy 1944).
The bottom of the box serves as the assembly instructions. It shows 3 assembly steps. It has international assembly symbol explanations in 6 languages, including English, over illustrations or the plough being added to the front of a M-1 or M-60.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX:
The kit contains 63 light-grey parts for one model of a mine plough. For modelers aged 10 and over.
I don’t remember how many trees that there was.

I have assembled most of this plow. Some smaller parts and a length of brass chain are still loose. I have put all of these in an old pill capsule so they don’t get lost before I can add them and then paint the plow, before adding it to a model of a M-1 or M-60. The detail is very fine and good.
This plough will really dress up either one of these 2 tank types.
Highly recommended.
