HISTORY:
These rugged vehicles are designed to transport heavy military vehicles. They also proved themselves excellently in other transport tasks, so that they remained in use even after the war until the 80s, a significant number of them in the possession of the Bundeswehr. They have four steel inserts on each side. If these are not needed, they can be attached to appropriate brackets on the longitudinal members. The handbrake stand can be folded down or removed. While the cars of the SSy class built from 1940 onwards have a pivot spacing of 6150 mm, this is 1942 mm for the SSys vehicles built from 7950 onwards. Visually, both differ slightly in the shape of the longitudinal members.

THE KIT:
Dragon (sometimes called DML) is an old prolific model company based in Hong Kong, China. They manufacture all manner of plastic model subjects in the popular scales.
This kit comes in a shrink-wrapped tray and lid type box.
The cover art shows the flat-car on tracks, with a train behind it on other tracks.
The flatcar is having an anti-aircraft type German tank being loaded aboard it by two workmen. It is overall grey with a brown wood floor and white lettering all over its side.
The train behind it is grey also, has a tank smothered in brush and a gondola car full of troops. In the background is a railroad control tower.
One side panel of the kit shows a color box art illustration for Dragon’s kit no. 6073, a Schwerer Panzer spahwagen Artilleriewagen. Followed by a CAUTION: When you use paint or cement do not be near an open flame and be in a well ventilated room. In 6 languages, including English.
Not suitable for children under 3 because of small parts. Importer for Europe Italeri and their address in Italy. For modelers aged 10 and over. In multiple languages, including English.

There are 4 identical medium-grey letter D trees. The hold: sides, ends, floor etc. (7 parts ea.)
Lettering jumps to the 2 identical medium-grey letter G trees. They hold railroad ties. (15 parts ea.) Two parts per tree are shaded out in blue on the parts trees-illustrations as being excess and not needed to complete the model.
There are 2 identical medium-grey letter H trees. They hold the road bed. (3 parts ea.)
The decals complete the kit contents.
I have the flat-car assembled except for the railings. The railroad ties are not inserted and glued to the roadbed yet too.
I also purchased a set of Archer Fine Transfers for German railcars.
This model will look good with a tank or equipment of some kind on it.
