HISTORY:
For a passenger car of increased comfort and with a powerful engine the Admiral was the top of the Opel pre-war model range.
Since February 1938 till October 1939 only 6,404 cars wer produced. In the beginning of the war most of the carswere requesitioned and used as personal transport for senior officers of the Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe. These cars were used both on the Eastern and Western Fronts up to the end of WWII.
Admiral cars were produced in different types, and in particular more than 2,000 cars had open-top Cabriolet bodies.

This kit comes in a shrink-wrapped tray and lid type box.
The box art shows an Admiral Cabriolet parked in a grassy field. It is jet black and has a license plate number WH 308 785 on it.
One side-panel has a one paragraph history of the car in English, followed by the statement that the box contains an unassembled plastic model kit of 185 + 36 kits (whatever that figure means?),
cement and paint needed to finish the model as shown are not included, instruction sheet with drawings and decal sheet are included. The kit was made in the Ukraine by ICM Modeling and their P.O. box address, telephone and FAX umber, e-mail address and web site address are provided. Kit is unsuitable for children under 3.
The other side panel has a 3-view of the box art subject scheme with top up. The copyright of the kit is 2011.

This kit contains 7 tan parts trees in 2 resealable cello bags, a clear tree in a resealable cello and inside the cello with 6 of the tan trees. A decal sheet and the instructions.
The instructions are in two parts. One is a unbound booklet of 8 pages in 8 1/4" x 11 3/4" page format and a small sheet that 5 1/4" x 7 3/4", printed on both sides with assembly and painting instructions for the figures in the kit.

Page 3 to 7 give a grand total of 19 assembly steps for the car.
Page 8 has four 3-views of different schemes for the car.

Tan letter A parts tree holds: an axle, exhaust pipe, engine parts, seat, frame members, radiator, fan etc. (108 parts)
Tan letter B parts tree holds: fender sections, canvas roof, floor, seat, bumpers, grill, doors, dashboard, firewall etc. (31 parts).
There are 2 identical tan letter C parts trees. They hold wheels, leaf springs etc. (21 parts each)
Tan letter E parts tree holds: parts of the folded canvas roof (7 parts).
Clear letter D parts tree holds: the windows, headlight and taillight lenses (12 parts)
The kit supplied decals.
The tan tree that holds all the parts of the figures is not alphabetized. It holds 3 figures, 2 steel helmets, two 98K carbines, 3 parts for the wood stool, a pistol holster, 2 canteens, ammo pouches, the traffic baton and 2 bayonets in scabbards.

Two are standing figures of field police. One has his left arm extended and he's holding a traffic baton in his hand. Both field policemen wear steel helmets, jack boots and have rifles slung over their shoulders, plus field gear on their belts. They have the field police gromet on a chain around their neck
The third figure is of a standing officer. He is one foot up on a wood stool and his left fist on his hip. He wears an officer's peaked hat, jodphers and jack boots. (39 parts).
These figures are all divided into seperat heads, torsos, arms and legs
Two are standing figures of field police. One has his left arm extended and he's holding a traffic baton in his hand. Both field policemen wear steel helmets, jack boots and have rifles slung over their shoulders, plus field gear on their belts. They have the field police gromet on a chain around their neck

One of 4 sections in this tree is blank and broken attachment stubs in it indicate that perhaps this tree originally had a fourth figure that ICM removed at the factory.

This is a very highly detailed car. Recommended to modelers of average skill level.
