THE BOOK:
MMP is based in the UK. All of their books are printed by their associate Stratus Publications based in Sandomierz, Poland in the English language. Stratus also does their own line of books in both English and Polish.
This book is hard-bound of 194 pages in 8 ¼” x 11 ½” page format. The last 2 pages in the book are blank.
The cover art shows a color photo of a Yugoslavian Air Force DeWoitine D1.C1 (VV Hispano), parasol-winged fighter sitting on a grassy field with 2 pilots standing in front of it, under a dark sky
The book contains 280 black and white photos of pilots and their planes.
Aircraft pictured are: the Nieuport 24 C1 & 27C1, the Spad S.7 C1 & S.13 C1, the Albatros D.III Ba.253 (Oef), the Phonix D.I & D.II, the Aviatik (Berg) D.I, the Ansaldo SVA.5, the Bristol E.2b Fighter, the DeWoitine D.1 C.1, the DeWoitine D.9 C1, Jockey, the Avia BH-33E and the Potez 25 A2.
There is a class photo of commanding officers, instructors and pilots of the 3rd Fighter School, XI Class, 1938.
There are 26 information lists included and 81 illustrations of Air Forces insignias and 31 of logos. There is a line-drawing side view of a Albatros D1, 6 pages of an appendix, 10 black and white photos of various engines, a 4 page bibliography, 9 color photos of pilot’s badges and of a pilot’s log book.
