No. 303 Squadron was the only Polish unit equipped with the Mustang IV, as the bubble-top P-51D and P-51K were known collectively to the RAF. Between April 1945 and December 1946, the squadron used a total of 29 of these aircraft, plus six Mustang I's as hacks. The book includes over 120 photos and 26 color profile drawings to profusely illustrate these aircraft. Their technical details, military markings and maintenance stencils are shown in the detail
MMP is based in the UK. They have all their books printed in English by their associate Stratus in Sandomierz, Poland. Stratus also does their own series of books in both the Polish and English langurages.
This book is soft-cover of 80 pages in 8 1/4" x 11 3/4" page format.
The cover art shows 3 Mustangs flying in formation above the clouds. They have the Polish Air Force checkerboard insignia on the sides of their noses.
I want to thank Casemate Publishing who sent me this review sample and also Roger Wallsgrove, Editor-in-chief of MMP.
