The cover art shows a black and white war-time photo of a German Sd.Kfz. 234/2 “Puma” armored-car of the 1st Company, Panzer-Reconnaissance-Battalion 7 of 7th Panzer Division, put out of action by a IL-2 Sturmovik of the 4th Soviet Air Army in West Prussia, in February 1945.
It is posed against an all dark-blue background.
The back cover shows 3 more black and white wartime photos.
The first photo shows a Soviet officer staring at a German knocked-out Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Ausf. D armored half-track of III Battalion S.S. Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment 6, “Theodor Eicke”, of 3rd S.S. Panzer Division “Totenkopf”. Somewhere in the vicinity of Warsaw in 1944.
The second photo shows a German Panther Ausf. D tank, destroyed on 20 April, 1945 at Kolbitzow (a village just southwest of Stettin) by PTAB bombs dropped by IL-2 Sturmovik of the 4th Soviet Air Army. This Panther, most probably, had belonged to Panzer Training Formation “Ostsee”.
The third photo shows field repair being done to a damaged German Pz. III Ausf. F of Panzer Regiment 4 (13th Panzer Division) in the vicinity of Zhitomir, June 1941.
