HISTORY:
The GAZ-69 was a four-wheeled drive light truck of the Jeep class, produced by GAZ (A3, or Gorkovsky Avtomobilny Zavod) between 1953 and 1955. From 1954 until 1972, it was produced buy UAZ, as UAZ-69, though they were commonly known as GAZ-69s as well.
Basic variant GAZ-69 had a pair of doors only and most often appeared with a standard canvas top and upper sides. Further variant UAZ-69A had two pair of doors. It was also produced under license by ARO in Romania, as the Muscle M-59, later modernized as the Muscle M461. From the UAZ-69 there was deployed an off-road van and light-truck UAZ-450 and newer Jeep UAZ-469.
Military Use:
The GAZ-69 was the basic light off-road vehicle of the Soviet Army, replacing GAZ-67s and Willys Jeeps. The GAZ-69 was itself replaced with the UAZ-409. It was also used as the basis for the 2P26. Tank, as well as the GAZ-46 MAV, a light 4x4 amphibious vehicle, whose design was largely copied from the World War II Ford GPA “Seep”.

The kit holds 4 large tan resin parts: the frame, chassis, floor and canvas (4 parts)
A small 3 ¾” x 3” end-opening generic white box holds the small parts in two self-sealing clear envelopes:
The engine, 4 rockets, 5 wheels, axles, 4 leaf-springs, radiator, exhaust pipe, rocket launcher base, dash, 2 tie-rods, hood, 2 seat backs and cushions, drive chain, door panels, jack, tool chest, seat supports, foot pedals, steering column, head-lights, rocket launcher framework parts and control hand-wheels. A LARGE AMOUNT OF PARTS.

If that isn’t already a lot of parts to assemble, there is also included a brass PE fret that holds the windshield framing, radiator grill, dashboard face etc There is a sheet of clear plastic with the windshield glass printed on it, in a open-ended clear envelope with a stiff card added to prevent the PE fret from bending.
With all this, I have to say this kit is not for the novice or beginning modeler and definitely not a week-end project. Assembled it should make up in to a magnificently detailed model for sure.
The instructions consists of two letter sized sheets printed on both sides and containing 18 assembly steps.
A third letter sized sheet has the cover art on it in color. A fourth sheet has 3 color photos on it of the actual vehicle.
A fifth and sixth sheet has the history of the GAZ-69 on them. A small sheet has a black and white photo of a GAZ-69 in firing position in a woods, with a Soviet soldier kneeling beside it and looking through a pair of binoculars. A lot of paperwork.
Overall detail on the kit parts I have to say is no less than excellent. Highly recommended.
