HISTORY:
The Volkswagen Kübelwagen (About this sound listen (help·info)) (literally, "Tub" car, previously mostly used for rail, industrial or agricultural hopper cars) was a light military vehicle designed by Ferdinand Porsche and built by Volkswagen during World War II for use by the German military (both Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS).
Based heavily on the Volkswagen Beetle, it was prototype Type 62, but eventually became known internally as the Type 82.
Kübelwagen is an abbreviation of Kübelsitzwagen, meaning "bucket-seat car" because all German light military vehicles that had no doors were fitted with bucket seats to prevent passengers from falling out.
The first VW test vehicles had no doors and were therefore fitted with bucket seats, so acquiring the name VW Kübelsitzwagen that was later shortened to Kübelwagen. Mercedes, Opel and Tatra also built Kübel(sitz)wagens.
With its rolling chassis and mechanics built at Stadt des KdF-Wagens (renamed Wolfsburg after 1945), and its body built by US-owned firm Ambi Budd Presswerke in Berlin, the Kübelwagen was for the Germans what the Jeep and GAZ-67 were for the Allies.

THE KIT:
DML Dragon is a prolific model company based in Hong Kong, China. They manufacture all manner of model subjects in the popular scales.
This kit comes in a shrink-wrapped tray and lid type box.
The box art shows a Kubelwagen parked in the desert, with a Pz.Kpfw. IV moving behind it, with it's commander looking out of the upper turret hatch in a tan uniform with side cap and earphones on his head.
The tank is overall sand-yellow with no markings shown. Two men are riding on it's engine deck.
One is standing and shading his eyes while watching a Stuka fly overhead. The other man is seated with a 98K carbine on his lap. He has a steel helmet on. Both men are wearing sand uniforms.
The Kubelwagen also is overall sand-yellow with Afrika Korps pine tree with swastika on left side of nose.
On the decal sheet the swastika has been deleted. This is to make the kit politically correct in countries where it is sold that have outlawed displaying the swastika.
The Kubelwagen has a white license plate on the front with black serial no. WL-410637 on it.
The driver is in a tan uniform with a soft field cap on his head with goggles
Rommel and another officer are standing next to the Kubelwagen and a pair of "Donkey-ears" type binoculars on a tripod.
Rommel wears a gray officer's hat, a buff field jacket, tan jodhpurs pants tucked into black jack boots. He has a pair of binoculars around his neck.
The officer next to him wears a khaki field cap and jacket, an jodhpurs pants tucked into high laced boots. He has a map under his right arm and a pair of binoculars around his neck and is pointing with his left arm.
One corner of the box art says the kit holds 135 parts and is intended for modelers 10 and older.
One side panel has a small color box art of DML's kit no. 9037, a British Firefly 1c, followed by a CAUTION to not use glue or paint near an open flame and when you do use them to be in a well ventilated room. Kit is not suitable for children under 3 due to small sharp parts, in 6 languages, including English.

The instructions consists of a single-sheet that accordion-folds out into 8 pages in 6" x 8" page format.

Page 6 and 7 are the painting and marking instructions for the Kubelwagen as three 4-V's and illustrations of Rommel, the officer and the "Donky-ears" binoculars. The binoculars are overall sand-yellow.
1. The first Kubelwagen is overall sand-yellow. It's license no. is WH-131622. It has a whie "V" with a horizontal bar below it on the front of the the right fender.
2. The second Kubelwagen is also overall sand-yellow. It's licensed no. is WH-1279689. It has a black "J" on the sides of the front doors.

The decal sheet has a tissue provided that is supposed to protect the face from scratching. However, it was floating around the box loose and protecting a darn thing. So, I stapled it to the sheet.
Page 8 is the parts trees illustrations. Some parts are blued-out. Meaning that they are excess and not needed to complete the kit.
Dark-gray letter A tree holds: the hull bottom, windshield frame, sides, doors, fenders, hood etc. (23 parts)
