I paid $9.00 for my kit, back in the 90’s at a local hobby shop that went out of business.
THE KIT:
Italeri is an old prolific model company based in Italy. They manufacture all manner of model subjects in the popular scales.
This kit comes in a shrink-wrapped end-opening type box. I am no fan of this type of box, because invariably parts or the decal sheet will find their way past one of the end-flaps of the box to become lost forever. Give me a tray and lid type box any day of the week.
The cover art shows color illustrations of: Zimmerit anti-magnetic mine paste, 3 styles of tow hooks, a Notek lamp, fire extinguisher, 2 styles of jacks, a wood ammo case, 3 sizes of cannon rounds (don’t say what caliber though), 3 different versions of short runs of track, a MG-32 & MG-43 machine gun with bipods, a Panzerfaust & a Panzerfaust 30 rocket launcher, a land mine, a metal ammo can with ammo belt, a 2.8cm Gerlich gun with shield on wheeled carriage and ammo rounds and ammo box for it and a Panzerbuchse 39 automatic rifle with bipod.
These are all posed against an all-white background. Similar to how Tamiya brand also does the majority of their box arts.
One side panel of the box says the kit’s name, in 6 languages, including English. Each language is labeled with a color illustration of the flag of the country that speaks the language.
