THE KIT:
This kit came in a shrink-wrapped end-opening type box. I am no fan of this type of box, because invariably parts or the decal sheet will find their way past one of the end flaps of the box to become lost forever. Give me a tray and lid type box any day of the week.
The cover art shows a color illustration of four German tank crew-men.
The two men in the back are atop a tank. One is crouched and holding a fuel hose in his right hand. He wears a khaki shirt and cloth billed field cap, Panzer-gray trouser over low black shoes. Behind him is a field gray oil can and jerry can. In front of him is a brass hand oiler and an equipment cylinder.
The other man atop a tank is dressed the same as the first man. He is reaching for a 88mm ammo round being handed to him by a standing crewman. He has an earth-yellow early version jerry can by his feet.
The crewman in the foreground wears a tan, green and red-brown camouflaged-shirt and field gray trousers and a soft field-gray side cap. He is holding a hose connected to a hand pump that is inserted into the side of a green fuel barrel. Next to the barrel is a open wood ammunition crate.
The fourth man on the right is dressed the same as the crewman with the fuel barrel. His right arm is raised handing the 88mm ammunition round to the guy atop a tank. There is a earth-yellow late version jerry can on the ground behind him.
One side panel just has the name of the kit on it.
