ITHE KIT:
Tamiya is an old prolific model company based in Shizuoka City, Japan. They manufacture all manner of model subjects in the popular scales.
This kit comes in a shrink-wrapped end-opening type box. I am no fan of this type of box, because invariably parts or the decal sheet will find their way past one of the end-flaps to become lost forever. Give me a tray and lid type box any day of the week.
The cover art shows color illustrations of jerry cans and fuel drums, posed against one of Tamiya’s signature all-white backgrounds that they use for the majority of their box arts.
One side panel of the box begins with a color 3-view profile of a Tiger I tank that is in a wave pattern of sand and dark-green, with a white outlined number 100 on the sides of the turret. It is followed by a paragraph of Japanese text and a color illustration of a dark-yellow jerry can.

The other side panel has color illustrations of fuel cans and the oil drums. Colors are called out for them in Japanese and English.
The jerry cans are German-gray. One of the 2 shown has a white cross painted on its side. A 3rd jerry can is dark-yellow.

The bottom of the box serves as an assembly and painting guide. It shows the jerry cans, fuel drums, fuel pump faucets and two German soldiers (soldiers are NOT included in the kit)
History of the kit is in Japanese and English.
It says:
Raw materials, such as fuel and water, are the lifeline of every army. During WWII the German Army carried these vital supplies in special steel drums and cans. Fuel drums, were sometimes mounted on tanks and other wheeled vehicles.
This set provides these drums and cans, reproduced in 1/35th scale, which are especially useful as diorama modeling accessories. The set contains six 200 liter fuel drums, sixteen 20 liter jerry cans, two standpipes and two hand pumps. Fuel drums are molded with the two rings for rolling the drums. Two drum lids are molded without fuel caps, so the pump can be inserted.
Separately molded filler caps are also supplied. Jerry cans were reproduced with the pressed-letters showing “Wasser” and “Benzinkanister” on them.
German drums and cans were painted in German gray or field gray for the most part, however, on the African front they were painted a dark yellow. A white cross was added to the cans containing water, for quick identification.

There are no figures in the kit or decals.
