THE KIT:
DML Dragon is an old prolific model company based in Hong Kong, China.
They manufacture all manner of model subjects in the popular scales.
This kit came in a shrink-wrapped tray and lid type box.
The box art shows 4 Sturmpionier engineers in color. They are in a backyard behind a thatched-roofed house and a woven wood fence.
All 4 men are in field-grey uniforms with steel helmets and their trousers bloused into black jack boots.
Reading from left to right, the 1st man is walking. He is armed with a Mauser 98K carbine in his right hand. He has a stick grenade tucked into his right boot. He has a tan canvas equipment sack slung under both arms and is carrying a long steel tube (I don’t know what it is??). He has a mess kit, shovel in its carrying case and a rolled canvas tarp on his suspenders on his back, a canteen, bread bag, gas mask canister and 98K ammo pouches on his belt.
The 2nd man to the right is kneeling on one knee and operating a mine detector. He has the equipment box for it on his back, wired to the detector and headphones. He has the same field gear on his belt as the first man and no weapon.
The 3rd man to the right is kneeling on both knees and is holding what looks like a radio with an antenna on it (?). He has a 98K laying on the ground beside him. He carries the same field equipment as the first 2 men.
The 4th and last man on the right is standing and holding the flame thrower hose and nozzle. He has 3 large canvas bags on his suspenders in back, over the fuel tanks for the flamethrower. He just has a canteen on his belt and no weapon.
One corner of the box art says the kit contains a unassembled model kit of 54 parts (I count 63). It is intended for modelers age 10 and over and it contains 4 figures.
One side panel has a description of the kit contents in six languages with the contact information for Marco Polo Imports. Also included in the description is that paint and cement are not included and that the kit was made in Hong Kong.

The other side panel has the artwork for three different kits.
The box back has the figure instructions using the kit part numbers only and the color recommendations are also included as well. At the bottom are drawn illustrations of the equipment that is carried by the figures.

The small medium-grey tree holds 3 Mauser 98K carbines.
There is a card in the kit, printed on one side in color. It is 5 ¼” x 9”. It is commemorating the 10th anniversary of DML’s 1/35th Scale 39-45 Series of kits.
It has a color illustration of DML’s 1/16th scale kit of a German soldier wearing a quilted white winter uniform and steel helmet. He has a black hood over his head under the helmet. Trousers are bloused into black jack boots. He is armed with a MP40 submachine gun.
There are 2 ammo pouches for the MP40 on his belt and a stick grenade tucked under the belt.
At the bottom of the card is a calendar for July 2003 and a small color illustration of the box art of DML Dragons' 1/35th scale kit of a German Elephant tank.
Detail on these figures is excellent. There are no decals included.
