THE KIT:
Minicraft-Academy is an old prolific model company based in Torrance, Ca. They manufacture many different model kits in the popular scales.
This kit was made in Korea.
This kit came in a shrink-wrapped end-opening type box. I am no fan of this type of box, because invariably parts or the decal sheet will find their way past one of the end flaps of the box to become lost forever. Give me a tray and lid type box any day of the week.
The box art shows a color illustration of 4 German infantry-men, posed against an all-white background, similar to how Tamiya Brand also does the majority of their box arts.
The men are all standing.
The first man on the left is dressed in a camouflaged jacket, with field grey pants, a pair of gloves and black jack boots. He carries a MP40 sub-machine-gun over his right shoulder and is bare-headed.
The 2nd man to the right is wearing a field grey great coat and a steel helmet with a cloth camouflaged cover and a pair of gloves. He has a MG42 machine gun slung over his right arm.
The third man to the right wears a camouflaged uniform and cloth camouflage cover on his steel helmet. He carries a Mauser 98K carbine in his right hand.
The fourth man on the far right wears a field grey great coat, a bare steel helmet and has a 98K resting on his right shoulder.
One side panel of the box just shows the kit’s name.

The other side panel in 6 languages, Portuguese, English, French, German, Korean and Chinese says the kit is not suitable for children of under 26 months. Followed by a list of features of the kit: Contains one unassembled model kit and easy to follow pictorial instructions. Paint and cement are required to assemble the kit as shown on the box. Kit suitable for ages 10 to adult. Scale 1/35th.
The bottom of the box serves as the painting and assembly instructions.
It shows color illustrations of the front and rear of each of the 4 figures, over color-photo of the figures made up.
Colors are called out as:
Camouflaged uniform and helmet: Dark green, red-brown, light brown and field-gray.
Belt: Flat black.
Boots: Flat black.
Gas mask, tarp and canteen: field gray.
