The instruction read:
How to apply NCF decals
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Cut the desired decal from the sheet. There is “No clear film”! Each image is a separate decal printed on paper coated with a water-soluble release agent/adhesive. There is no need of a gloss coat.
Step 2 Dip the decal in water for 10 seconds.
Step 3: If you are applying to an irregular surface, brush some gloss clear acrylic on the area where the decal will be placed. We strongly recommend Alclad Aqua Gloss for its ability to draw NCF decals down into things like panel lines and recessed rivets.
Step 4: Before the clear acrylic dries, position and slide the backing paper from under the decal, adjust position, blot up any excess water/acrylic and gently press the decal down.
Step 5: Allow to dry and finish with your favorite clear coat. NCF Decals are compatible with any paint.
Do not use any decal setting solution!
Archer also sent me a sample of NCF (no carrier film) decals.
It includes a black star, numbers 3 & 9, silhouettes of 2 tank kill victory marks and a truck kill one, a set of blue eye-balls (to use on figures) and a yellow circle with a white star on it. This sample set came in a small zip-locked cello bag.
This set will definitely prove to be value for marking U.S. vehicles.
I want to thank Archer fine Decals for this review sample.
