Stratus Publications is based in Sandomierz, Poland. They are in partnership with Mushroom Model Publications (MMP) in the UK and MMP has their books printed by Stratus in English. Stratus also does books in Polish too.
This book is soft-cover and 96 pages in 8 ¼” x 11 ½” page format.
The book describes the development and service use of two major families of French fighters between the wars, the Nieuport-Delage Ni-D 29 and the Ni-D 62 and its derivatives. As well as being a mainstay of 1920’s French military aviation, versions of the Ni-D 29 were built in Japan (as the Ko-4) and also in Belgium, Italy and Spain.
In service in France for a decade, the Ni-D 62 family was also exported to Spain, Turkey, Romania, Peru, Belgium and Brazil, and the operations of these aircraft by all these air arms is described and illustrated.
The book is profusely illustrated with many rare black and white photos (152 of them) and full color profiles.
The cover of the book shows just the tail of a Ni-D 622 posed against a photo of 2 aircraft in flight. The back of the book has a color profile of a Ni-D 29C1 and a Ni-D 622C1. Both of these are repeated inside the book.
The color illustrations are:
12 profiles of French Ni-D 29C1’s
2 three-views of French Ni-D 29C1’s
1 two-view of a French NI-D 29C1

This book will be of great interest to aviation enthusiasts and modelers. There are kits of the Ni-D 622 in 1/72nd scale by Heller (kit no. 224) and one by Azure (kit no.AZU83).
