History:
The supply capacity of an army is essential for the victorious outcome of a campaign. When the United States entered the war effort against Germany, it developed a series of tactical cargo vehicles, which secured troop transports and supply missions to the front lines. The 2.5 ton truck in its various versions represents the typical and most widely used vehicle of its category. Thanks to its robust and simple construction it became the standard truck of the Allied Forces during WWII. This kit shows the GMC built truck.

The dark green SQUARE tree holds: the cab parts, seat, wood cargo compartment floor and walls, exhaust pipe, dash board, driver figure, 50 cal. machine gun and its mount ring, windshield frame, shift levers etc. (53 parts)
The clear parts tree holds headlight lenses and the cab windows (7 parts).
The decal sheet completes the kits contents. Italeri provided a frosted sheet to protect its face. However, this is loose and floating around in the kit and isn’t protecting anything. Also, only the clear parts tree is in a cello bag. The large dark green trees are loose and not cello bagged. A lot of the wheels on the TRIANGLE tree broke off the tree and are floating around in the box.
There is no cargo load for the cargo bed. The machine gun can be assembled deployed on its mount or folded for travel. The windshield can be posed hinged upwards or closed. There is no engine in the kit, just the oil pan below. The drive train and undercarriage is very detailed though.
This is a neat truck kit. It is a welcome relief to all the German Panthers and Tigers.

Highly recommended to modelers of average building skills.
