HISTORY:
Sturmmann (German: [ˈʃtʊʁmman], lit. 'Storm man') was a Nazi Party paramilitary rank that was first created in the year 1921. The rank of Sturmmann was used by the Sturmabteilung (SA) and the Schutzstaffel (SS).
The word originated during World War I when Sturmmann was a position held by soldiers in German pioneer assault companies, also known as "shock troops".

THE KIT:
Dragon is an old prolific model company based in Hong Kong, China.
They manufacture all manner of model subjects in the popular scales.
This kit comes in a shrink-wrapped tray and lid type blousy box. The box is 2 ½” too long and 2 ¼” too wide.
The cover art shows a color illustration of a Sturmmann figure posed against a black and white battle map of France.
He is dressed in a camouflaged uniform of tan, 2 shades of green and red-brown spot pattern.
His trousers are cuffed at the bottom into tan leather gaiters with buckles, over low brown shoes.
His uniform is reversible to white and he wears a black shirt. His steel helmet has a cloth cover on it in the same spotted pattern as his uniform.
He carries an MG42 with a folded bipod on it over his left arm and is carrying a light green steel ammo box in his right hand.
One corner of the box art says: This kit contains 30 parts. For modelers aged 10 and over. Box contains model of one figure. Paint or glue are not included.
One side-panel of the box shows two color box arts of other Dragon 1/16th scale figure kits: Kit no. 1601, a Wehrmacht Unteroffizier (Eastern Front 1943) and Kit no. 1605, a U.S. “Screaming Eagle” Paratrooper 1944.
Below is says: Not suitable for children under 36 months because of small and sharp parts. Importer for Europe is Italeri in Italy with their street address shown.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX:
The kit contains 4 medium-gray parts trees in 2 sealed clear cello bags.
There are 2 instruction sheets.
The main one is printed in color on one side on slick-coated paper in 7” x 11 3/4” format. It is the painting and assembly guide.
The left side shows a color repeat of the cover art, with colors called out in Gunze Sangyo band paint color by numbers of the paints. I don’t have a list of what these individual numbers are…??
The right side shows a front and rear view of the figures as a black and white line drawings posed against a yellow background.
The second instructions is a single-sheet printed on one side that is the assembly instructions for the MG42 machine gun, the gas mask canister and the steel ammo can. It is in 5 ¾” x 8 ¾” format.
Trees are not alphabetized or illustrated a in the instructions. They do, however, have part no. tabs next to the parts on the trees.
The largest medium-gray tree holds: the figure, divided into separate head, full body, shoes and arms, with a steel helmet covered with cloth camouflaged cover and a canvas backpack (9 parts)

Detailing is excellent.
