THE SHEET:
Fantasy Printshop is based in the UK.
This sheet and 3 others came to me in a stiff, sealed cardboard envelope.
This decal sheet and 2 other sheets are to 1/48th scale and 1 other sheet is to 1/35th scale.
All the decal sheets are the water-slide type.

This decal set comes in a zip-locked clear cello bag.
It contains the decal sheet and the instructions.
The decal sheet comes with a cloudy sheet to protect its face from scratches.
The instructions is an unbound booklet of 15 pages in 6” x 8 1/2” page format. The decal sheet is the same size.
Page 1 of the instructions shows 7 color side views of the Vought Corsair.
The Fantasy Printshop street address, phone number and E-mail address are provided at the bottom of the page.

The 1st color 4-view color scheme of a Vought Corsair F4U-1A is spread across pages 2 & 3. It is in a spine and top of the wings of sea-blue, over intermediate blue on the rear half of the Corsair and an insignia white undercarriage on the rear half of the fuselage and under the elevators. It has a small red 307 at the top of the sides of the rudder and roundels with white bars in the normal 6 positions.
It was with the Royal New Zealand Air Force, based at Henderson Field, Guadalcanal, October, 1944.
The 2nd color 4-view scheme of a Vought Corsair F4U-1 is spread across pages 4 & 5. It is blue grey, above light-grey center section of the undercarriage, with blue-grey under the outer halves of the wings. It has a U.S. star with bars on the fuselage sides, atop the left wing and below the right wing. Before the fuselage star and bars is a white stenciled serial no. 590.
It was flown by Capt. A.A. Conant of VMF-215 “The Fighting Corsairs”, U.S. Marine Corps. based at Torokina Air Base, Bouganville, January 1944.
The 3rd color 4-view scheme of a Vought Corsair F4U-A is spread across pages 6 & 7. It is overall silver dope with a black anti-glare panel in front of the windshield. It has a black serial no. SSII followed by U.S. star and bars on the fuselage sides and star and bars on top of the right wing and below the left wing.
NOTE: SSII was made up from various Corsairs by the personnel of MAG II and was finished in an overall silver finish with black anti-glare panel.
“SSII”/’Sally” of Service Squadron II, Marine Aircraft Group II, U.S. Marine Corps, was based at Vanuatu Island, New Hebrides, 1945.
The 4th color 4-view scheme of Brewster F3A Corsair is spread across pages 8 & 9. It has a sea-blue spine and wing tops, intermediate sides and outer wing halves and is insignia white central undercarriage and elevator bottoms. It has a yellow fuselage code of Q roundel BH2, followed by black ROYAL NAVY, over JS 479. The roundels are in the normal 6 positions.
It was of the 718th Naval Air Squadron, Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm, based at RNAS Ballyhalbert, mid-1945.
The 5th color 4-view scheme of a Vought F4U-1 Corsair is spread across pages 10-11 It has a blue-grey spine and wing and elevator tops and outer halves of the bottom of the wings. The center section of the bottom of the wings, elevators and rudder sides are light-grey. It has a green 3-leafed clover with a white no. 13 on it, followed by just a circular U..S. star (with no bars) in the normal 5 locations.
It was flown by 2nd Lt. Kenneth Ambrose Walsh of VMF-124 “Wild Aces”, U.S. Marine Corps, based at Henderson Field, Guadalcanal, 28 May, 1943.
The 6th color 4-view scheme of a Vought Corsair Mk. II is spread across pages 12 & 13. It has a spine of dark sea-grey over extra dark sea-grey sides and a sky type S undercarriage. The fuselage code is roundel red P54 outlined in white, followed by black Royal Navy, over JT260, 6 roundels in the normal positions.
It was with the 757th Naval Operations Training Unit, Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm, based at Pottalam, Ceylon, July 1944.
The 7th color 4-view scheme of a Vought F4U-1A Corsair is spread across pages 14 & 15. It is has a sea-blue spine, intermediate-blue sides, sea-blue outer halves of the bottom of the wings and an insignia white fuselage bottom and bottom of the elevators. It has a U.S star with bars In the usual 4 positions. There is a white no 103 on the sides of the cowling, a large white fuselage no. K99, followed by a star with bars.
It was with VMF 115 “Joes Jokers”, U.S. Marine Corps. May 1944.
The colors and register are excellent.
