HISTORY:
The Sturmpanzer (also known as Sturmpanzer 43 or Sd.Kfz. 166) is a German armoured infantry support gun based on the Panzer IV chassis used in the Second World War. It was used at the Battles of Kursk, Anzio, Normandy, and was deployed in the Warsaw Uprising. It was known by the nickname Brummbär (German: "Grouch") by Allied intelligence, a name which was not used by the Germans. German soldiers nicknamed it the "Stupa", a contraction of the term Sturmpanzer. Just over 300 vehicles were built and they were assigned to four independent battalions.

THE KIT:
DML (also called Dragon) is an old prolific plastic model kit manufacturer based in Hong Kong, China. They make all manner of plastic model subjects in the popular scales.
This kit came in a shrink-wrapped tray and lid type box
The box art shows a color illustration of a Brummbar parked in a railyard, next to a large rail-cannon, with troops and 2 motorcyclists behind it and buildings.
The Brummbar is in a camouflage wave pattern of tan, dark-green and red-brown, with a black and white German cross on the sides of it. It is covered with Zimmerit anti-magnetic paste. The tank commander is standing in the roof hatch. He wears a tan jacket, black cloth side cap and has a pair of earphones on his head.
In almost invisible lettering, on one corner of the cover art it says: This kit contains 499 parts. For modelers age 10 and over. Box contains a model of one armored vehicle.
One side-panel of the box shows one-paragraph histories of the Brummbar in Japanese, French, English, Italian, German and Chinese. Each language is labeled with a color illustration of the flag of the country that speaks the language.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX:
The kit holds 14 medium-grey parts trees, loose medium grey hull tub part, 3 black parts trees, metal-strip embossed with Zimmerit pattern, a steel PE fret and the decal sheet in 10 sealed clear cello bags.
A Cavalier brand set no. 0110 is enclosed by me, of Zimmerit, a medium-grey hull wall part and a circle part, in a cello bag with cardboard backing.
The instructions consist of a single-sheet that accordion-folds out into 8 pages in 8 ¼” x 14” page format.
Page 1 begins with a black and white repeat of the box art, over one-paragraph histories of the Brummbar in 6 languages, including English.
Page 2 begins with CAUTIONS about the kit, over international assembly symbol explanations and a paint-color listing of Gunze Sango and Italeri brands of hobby paints, in the 6 languages.
Below that is a black and white photo of the model made up.
The bottom of page 2 through to page to page 6, gives a grand total of 13 assembly steps.
Page 7 is a painting and marking guide. It shows a color 4-view of the Brummbar in two patterns of the cover art camouflage. Both patterns show a black and white German cross on the right side of the front, rear and the sides of the hull. No other marks are shown
Page 8 is the parts-trees illustrations.
Some parts are shown blued-out. Meaning they are excess and not needed to complete the model.
Part trees are alphabetized.

Medium-grey letter B tree holds: the hull top, final transfer covers, fenders, rear hull wall, tools etc. (38 parts) 12 parts are blued-out as being excess.
There are 2 identical medium-grey letter C trees. They hold: drive sprockets, idler wheels, road wheels etc. (37 parts ea.) 23 parts are excess.
There are 2 identical medium-grey letter D trees. They hold return rollers (9 parts ea.) tree is co-joined to the letter C, E & G trees.
There are 2 identical medium-grey letter E trees. They hold more return rollers (16 parts ea.) They are co-joined to the letter C, D & G trees.
There are 2 identical medium-grey letter G trees. They hold drive sprockets and idler wheels etc. (5 parts ea.) They are co-joined to the C, D & E trees.
There are 2 identical medium-grey letter F trees. They hold more road wheels, exhaust pipes, headlights etc. (30 parts ea.) 6 parts are excess.
Medium-grey letter H is the hull tub part (1 part)
There are 3 identical jet-black letter I trees. They hold individual track links. (80 parts ea.)
Lettering jumps to the two identical medium-grey letter J trees. They hold: hooks, supports, panels etc. (26 parts ea.)
Letter MA is the steel PE fret. It holds the mantlet ring, mounting supports for the Schurzen, etc. (21 parts).
Next is the embossed metal strip with a Zimmerit pattern on it.
The decal sheet completes the kit's contents. It has German crosses on it and red numbers 1 & 4 outlined in white. The letters are never shown on the model and are excess, if you choose not to use them.
There are no clear parts, figures or any internal details in the kit.
