THE KIT:
This kit came in a shrink-wrapped box that is a tray with a hinged-lid.
The box art shows a line drawing of a U-boat’s bow end as a side-view. The bottom of the box shows the stern end also as a side view. Both illustrations are against a medium blue background

The text on the box and the instructions is all in Russian. Only the 1/450 scale is in English
So, I don’t know what brand the kit is or what country’s navy this U-boat was with.
I searched the web, looking at illustrations of German U-boats and a few Soviet ones and none match this kit
The hull shows hundreds of ballast holes in its sides that don’t match any sub I looked at on the web.
I also cannot find a picture of the box art of this kit listed anyplace….groan. So, if any viewer can tell me more about this kit I would appreciate hearing it.
The box is tight-fitting. It holds 2 medium-grey trees and a loose display stand part and the instructions in a single sealed-cello bag. There are no decals provided.
Trees are not alphabetized and the parts trees have no number tabs next to the parts. The trees also are not illustrated on the instructions.
The instructions consists of a single-sheet, printed on both sides and folded into 4 pages in 5 ½” x 8” page format.

Page 1 shows a photo of the model made up on its display base against an all black background, with Soviet text.
Pages 2 and 3 show an exploded line drawing with the parts numbered, Above a list of the parts names in Russian.
Page 4 has two paragraphs of Russian text. I believe these may be general assembly instructions ?
With the all-Russian text, that I cannot interpret, this kit is one BIG MYSTERY…..SIGH!
The detail is nice though for this small scale.
The first medium-grey tree holds the hull halves (2 parts).

The first medium-grey tree holds the hull halves (2 parts).
The second medium-grey tree holds: the conning tower, propellers, fins, davits and deck fittings (17 parts).
The loose display base part completes the kits contents (1 part).
I recommend this kit however it would be nice to get it fully identified.
