OUT OF PRODUCTION
My kit has a copyright date of 1965. It was re-released again in 1967, 1974, 1979 and 1988.
THE KIT:
Heller is a older prolific model company based in France. They make all manner of model subjects in the popular scales.
The kit comes in a end-opening type box that is not shrink-wrapped, but held shut with tape. I am no fan of end-opening type boxes. Invariably parts find their way past the end flaps to become lost forever. Give me a tray and lid type box any day of the week.
The box art shows a Morane 406 shooting down a German bomber. I am not sure what it is.
The 406 is in a wave pattern of green and brown above light grey undercarraige. It has a logo on the sides of the fuselage of a white pennant with a snake on it. The rudder has a white 4 on it and black serial no. MS over 406C1 over N252 on top the fin flash.
The bottom of the box has a listing of 22 other aircraft kits that Heller markets. I assume they are all to 1/72nd scale.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX:
This kit contains one medium green tree of parts, loose medium green fuselage halves and wing bottom, pilot figure and air intake, a clear tree, decal sheet, instructions and a slip with Heller's custormer service address on it, all in a sealed cello bag.

The lone medium green tree holds: the propeller, upper wing halves, main wheels and their struts, spinner etc. (33 parts)
The clear tree holds the 2 canopy parts.
The instructions and the decal sheet complete the kits contents.
The instructions consist of a single sheet printed on both sides in 8 1/2" x 11" page format.
The face side of the sheet has assembly instructions and 2 exploded drawings. There is a parts list telling the names of parts, but no trees illustrations.
A 2-view is for the marking and painting scheme of the box art subject (already described above).
This side of the sheet is all in French.
The other side of the sheet repeats all this in English.
Sheet is folded twice to fit the box.
The decal came with a frosted sheet to protect its face from scratching. However, this sheet was floating around in the box and not protecting a darn thing. So, I stapled it to the decal sheet.
I also purchased a ABT brand set of 2 decal sheets for the French Armee De L'air for a whopping .79 cents. I paid .90 cents for the kit.

The control surfaces are molded solid and panel lines are of the raised variety. However, this is a nice older kit of a French fighter.
I bought my kit and the extra decals at a local hobby shop that went out of business.

I am willing to sell this kit for a decent offer.
