THE KIT:
LTD Models was a company based in Carollton, TX, that made limited run aircraft kits. They went out of business,. Their kits were molded in the Czech Republic and packaged in the U.S.A.
This kit came in an end-opening type box, held shut with scotch tape. I am no fan of this type of box, because invariably parts or the decal sheet find their way past one of the end flaps to become lost forever. Give me a tray and lid type box any day of the week.
The box art shows a Boomerang flying above the clouds and a black column of smoke. It may have shot something down?? It is overage grass-green (FS34092) with white wing leading edges and rear fuselage, white fuselage code DE roundel G, a black and white cat wearing a striped sweater on the nose with "Hep Cat".
One side panel has a black and white box art of a Soviet Lagg-3 that LTD manufactures and a one-paragraph history of it. Kit was molded in the Czech Republic and packaged in the USA.
