THE KIT:
DML (sometimes Dragon) is an old prolific model company based in Hong Kong, China.
They manufacture all manner of model subjects in the popular scales.
This kit came in a shrink-wrapped end-opening type box.
I am no fan of this type of box because, invariably parts or the decal sheet will find their way past one of the end flaps of the box to become lost forever. Give me a tray and lid type box any day of the week.
The cover art shows color illustrations of 5 Waffen SS tank crew-men, posed against an all-white background. Similar to how Tamiya brand also does the majority of their box arts.
The man on the left is standing. He wears trousers that are camouflaged in a wide wave pattern of two shades of brown. He has a black leather jacket, gray officer’s hat and black shoes. He is armed with a MP40 slung over his right shoulder. He has a map in his left hand, a pistol holster on his belt.
The man in the middle is standing in the upper turret hatch opening. He is dressed in an all-black SS tanker’s uniform with a billed black cloth cap. He has earphones on his ears and a throat microphone around his neck. He has a pair of binoculars in his right hand.
The man on the right wears a brown uniform and a billed cloth field cap. He too has earphones on his head and a throat microphone around his neck. He is the half-figure in the kit.
On the left, in the rear is a man kneeling on his right knee atop a tank. He wears an all-dark brown uniform with cloth side cap. He too has earphones on and a throat mike. He is pointing with his left arm.
The man on the right, in the rear is dressed the same as the man to his right. He too has earphones and throat mike on and a cloth field cap with a bill. He is standing and looking out the upper hatch of a tank turret.
On corner of the box art says the kit holds 53 parts. Kit is for modelers ages 10 and over. Box contains models of four and one half figures.
One side panel of the box says again that the kit holds one and one half figures. Paint and cement are not included. In Japanese, English, German, French, Italian and Chinese. Each language is labeled with a color illustration of the flag of the country that speaks the language.
Margo Polo Import INC.s street address and FAX number in City of Industry, CA is provided. They were the U.S. importer and distributor of DML (Dragon) kits. Copyright of the kit is 1993 and kit was made in Hong Kong.

The other side panel of the box shows 3 color box arts of other DML 1/35th scale kits: Kit no. 3021, German Paratroopers, Kit no. 6006, "Cross of Iron" German soldiers (Eastern Front 1944) and Kit no. 6010, U.S. Army Airborne troops (Normandy 1944).
The box bottom serves as the painting and assembly instructions. There is a color illustration of the front and back of each of the 5 figures (already described above) Gunze Sangyo brand paints are suggested to use.
Below there are 4 line drawings by DML’s resident artist Ron Volstad. A pair of headphones, throat microphone, a panzer jacket and a Sauer model 38(M) pistol holster.
