THE BOOK:
MMP (Mushroom Model Publications) is based in the UK. All their books are printed by their associate Stratus, based in Lublin, Poland in English Stratus also does their own line of books in both Polish and English.
This book is hard-bound of 180 pages in 8 ¼” x 11 ¾” page format. Five pages are blank.
The cover art shows a color photo of a Hurricane Mk. I, no. 11 from the first W batch, which was selected for factory trials. Shown here , in flight over Brookland's. Note the varying shades across camouflage field, which were the result of different material textures, such appearances. Such appearance resulted in mistaken opinions by some modelers who claimed there were four colours in the camouflage, despite obvious facts that this machine was factory painted in a strict manner which corresponded to the two-tone RAF scheme. Note the absence of the antenna wire.
This second volume describes in detail the camouflage and markings of more of the day fighters used y the Yugoslav Air Force from 1918 to 1941. Aircraft of Yugoslav, British, German, Czech and French origin are shown in many historical photographs and colour profiles, showing the colours and markings carried by the aircraft. Detailed colour notes and precise description and illustrations of national markings over the period complete a two-book set that will be invaluable to aircraft enthusiasts, historians and modelers.
Aircraft described are:
The Hawker Yugo Fury
