THE KIT:
RPM is an old prolific model company based in Warsaw, Poland.
They manufacture all manner of model subjects in the popular scales.
This kit comes in an taped-shut end-opening type box. I am no fan of this type of box, because invariably parts or the decal sheet will find their way past one of the end-flaps to become lost forever. Give me a tray and lid type box any day of the week.
The box art shows a black and white illustration of a length of railroad tracks, posed against an all-white background.
One side panel of the box says: Model suitable for ages 10 to adult. Contains instructions for assembly. Paints and plastic adhesive are not included. In German, English and Polish. Each language is labeled with a color illustration of the flag of the country that speaks the language.
RPM’s street address in Warsaw, Poland is provided.
The other side panel is exactly the same.

The bottom of the box shows 4 black and white cover art of 1/35th scale AFV kits that RPM manufactures: No kit numbers are given, which I think is odd.
The 1st one is a kit of Tracks for Tanks T-34, SU-85 & SU-100 (180 individual track links).
The 2nd one Is of the German XT-7 ROTKAPPCHEN “Little Red Cap”, VG-15 Luftfaust (Rocket launcher).
The 3rd one is of Ogniwa Gasienic Czolgow (track links) for the 7-TP, 7-26 or Vickers tank, 224 pieces.
The 4th one is of a SU-76M Soviet tank.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX:
The kit contains a white vacuformed diorama base. It has a smooth area along one edge to lay the track bed. The other wide edge looks like muddy ground with a couple of shell holes in it.

There are 4 chalk white trees of parts that hold railroad tracks, ties etc. (35 parts per tree) These trees are in a sealed cello bag.
The tracks are 5 1/2" long, which when the kit is assembled you wind up with a section 11" long. Just long enough for a base below a railroad vehicle.

The instructions is a sheet that is 8 1/4" x 11 1/2" printed on both sides with identical assembly illustrations and an illustration of the parts tree. Measurements in centimeters are given for the distance to set the rails and the tie rods.
This is a nice kit to add to any one of numerous kits out there of railroad cars.

I bought my kit years ago at my local hobby shop.
