THE SET:
About Verlinden Productions:
Verlinden Productions is the epitome of aftermarket military kits and resin figures which brought thousands of military miniatures and related products to the market. The company is the brainchild of Belgian modeler Francois Verlinden, a Belgium-born entrepreneur, author of many books, photographer and military miniature artist who founded Verlinden Productions in the early 1980s.
Verlinden Productions is the granddaddy of the aftermarket parts and resin figure manufacturers. Verlinden has influenced legions of modelers, and will forever be one of the most significant figures in 1/35 scale modeling. Verlinden's outstanding eye for detail and superior quality puts him in the top echelon of his craft. The resin quality is considered as one of the best in the world.
It has been said, several times now, on the web, that Verlinden has gone out of business.
This set comes in a sealed clear cello-bag.
It contains one 6” X 8” white card that is the instructions. The scribing template is printed in black on it, in 3” x 5 ¾”. It is NOT photo-etched. Which I feel it should be.
At the top it says that the sheet comes from the Cross Keys shopping center in Florissant, MO.
It is printed with white shapes, that you have to cut out with a sharp knife and then use them with a knife on a 1/48th scale aircraft kit.
There are shapes in more than 20 count each. These include circles, squares, rectangles, corners, ovals and a lot of odd shapes.
The instructions say to use them by cutting round the inside of the shapes on an aircraft model.
I don’t recommend this set. I would prefer a photo-etched set.
Not really recommended.
