WHAT'S IN THE BOX:
This kit contains 3 light-gray trees in a sealed clear cello bag, a steel PE fret and clear tree in another cello bag with the decal sheet and 2 instruction sheets.
The first instruction sheet consists of a single-sheet that accordion-folds out into 8 pages in 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" page format.
This sheet is from the 1994 boxing of this kit and has wrong photos of the made up model on page 1, with the history of the aircraft in Japanese only.
Page 2 begins with international assembly symbol explanations in 7 languages, including English, over the first 2 assembly steps.
Page 3 & 4 give a balance of a total of 7 assembly steps.
Page 5 has the parts trees illustrations above a suggested paint color list.
Pages 6 & 7 have wrong marking and painting illustrations, that were right for the earlier release of this kit, but cannot be done with the decals in this kit. So, I will not describe them.
Page 8 gives a warning not to use paint or glue near a flame and when you do use them to be in a well-ventilated room, over decal application instructions, all in 6 languages, including English.
Bottom of the page has Hasegawa's telephone number and address in Shizuoka, Japan.
The second instruction sheet is 7" x 11" format, printed on both sides. It has 2-views of 2 schemes and painting instructions for some of the small parts on it's face side.
The first 2-view is of the box art scheme (already described above).

Parts trees are alphabetized, illustrated in the instructions and do have part number tabs next to the parts on the trees.
Light-gray letter A tree holds the wings etc. (16 parts) Two parts are shaded out in the parts trees illustrated. Meaning they are excess and not needed to complete the model.

I bought the Verlinden resin and PE detail set for the BF-109E that I added to this kit. It cost me a heavy $22.95.
Model has nice engraved detail The flaps are molded solid and there is no pilot figure.
