THE KIT:
Testors-Italeri is an old prolific plastic model manufacturer. Testors is based in Rockford, ILL and Italeri is in Italy. They sell all manner of plastic model kits in the popular scales.
This kit comes in a shrink-wrapped end-opening type box. It has a slide-out cardboard tray that holds the parts. I like this type of end-opening box because of the tray,
The cover art shows a color photo of the Priest M7 built up and sitting on a modeling table. It is overall olive-drab.
One side panel of the box gives a short history of the howitzer. Followed by a small color side profile of the Priest in the box art scheme.

The other side panel of the box lists materials needed to build the kit: glue, Model Master brand of paints, Testor brand paints hobby tools, brushes and tape. Also followed with the small color side profile.
The bottom of the box shows 8 color walk-around type photos of the model made up in the box art scheme and a list of the kit’s features: This highly detailed model contains over 250 precision parts. Suspensions move. Guns elevate and rotate. Optional parts are included. A highly detailed vehicle commander figure is included. The decal allows the builder to construct the model in British or U.S. Army marks in WWII markings. Additional markings allow construction of a post war German Army version. Built to 1/35th scale, the superlative instruction sheet contains special sections on weathering and figure painting.
In addition, Testors packs each and every plastic model kit with authentic-scaled decals by Micro Scale. Usually available only through specialty hobby stores. These decals have well-earned reputation for being the most accurate, thinnest and highest quality in the industry.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX:
The kit holds 3 very dark-green parts trees, vinyl tracks and the decal sheet in a single sealed clear cello bag.
The trees are not alphabetized. Instead they are labeled as SQUARE, STAR and CIRCLE emblems. Odd!
The very dark-green SQUARE tree holds: side skirts, tow cable, figure (divided into separate full body and arms) machine gun, engine air intake screen etc. (110 parts)

The two runs of black vinyl tracks is next.
The decal sheet completes the kits contents.
I have added a couple after-market items from my Armor Research Co. A set of brass barrel rifling and a set of 105mm turned aluminum ammo storage tubes.
The detail is very good.
