THE BOOK:
MMP (Mushroom Model Publications) is based in the UK. Stratus is their associate based in Sandomierz, Poland. Stratus prints all of MMP’s books in English and their own line of books in both Polish and English.
This series of books provides details of all U.S. Navy warships from 1883 to the present day. Every class and individual ship has an entry providing details of the procurement, dimensions and characteristics, and a summary of each ships history and development.
The book is profusely illustrated with 728 black and white photos and 2 color ones that are on the covers. All the photos are of aircraft carriers.
It is hard-bound of 306 pages in 8” x 11 ¾” page format.
I see a Vol. 2 & Vol. 3 in this series of books. So, battleships and destroyers etc. are probably covered in those.
The cover art shows a color photo of an aircraft carrier on the front and back cover. These are the only color photos included and neither is named. So, I don’t know what they are.
The book contains 21 data lists, a camouflage colors list, a 3-page ship’s names list, 22 black and white line drawings of aircraft carriers showing their various splinter camouflages and the bibliography.
