I had their Apoxy Sculpt set for several years and the two parts of this formula hardened in the jars. I was told by Aves to microwave them for 15 seconds, 3 times, to soften them again. This worked twice, but now they are real hard again and the microwave does not bring them back soft enough to use anymore, plus the B part has turned brown on top. I used the Apoxy Sculpt on all 3 versions of the Tamiya KV Soviet tank that I've built to fill the motorization holes in the hull tub part. I worked great.
I intend to use this Fixit Sculpt now.
Fixit Sculpt is an extremely versatile product that combines features & benefits of modeling clay with the industrial strength & adhesive power of epoxy. Its clay-like feel resists sagging and drooping. Its firm/fine grain texture backed with the technology is great for many uses, ranging from detailed & intricate sculpting to a multitude of repairs.
Generous 4-hour working time allows you to achieve your finest details. Also makes a great transition material. Use in conjunction with other epoxy clays in any stage of set up.
It has been proven effective on ceramic, stone, plastic, fiber glass, wood, bone, metals, foam & more.
It can be sanded, filed, drilled, lathed & tooled, or othewise finished without chipping, cracking or flaking. The flat finish easily accepts all types of paints & stains.
Great for prototyping, model making, customizing, fabricating, restorations, ceramic & general repairs, antler & bone art, outdoor, aquatic & marine projects & more.
It comes in 2 plastic jars with part A & B in them, which are mixed together in equal amounts to form the epoxy.
WORKING TIMELINE:
MIX PART A & B = Sticky & most adhesive
1-2 HOURS = Easy to shape
3-4 HOURS = Setting up
24 HOURS = Hard, cured & waterproof
Conforms to safety standards. It is non-flammable, non-conductive.
It is canvas colored.
