THE KIT:
ICM is an old prolific model company based in the Ukraine. They manufacture all manner of model subjects in the popular scales.
This kit comes in a shrink-wrapped end-opening type box.
I am no fan of this type of box, because invariably parts or the decal sheet will find their way past one of the end flaps to become lost forever. Give me a tray and lid type box any day of the week.
The box art shows a Seehund submerged. It in overall gunship-grey. The torpedo is medium-grey with a dark engine gray nose. There are white numerals around the nose of the sub.
One side panel of the box says: The box contains one unassembled plastic model kit. It makes up to be 165mm long (6 ½”), height: 54mm (a little over 2”), includes 42 parts (I count 47) for assembly of the model. Cement and paint needed to finish the model as shown are not included. Instruction sheet with drawings and decal sheet are included.
Kit was made in the Ukraine by ICM Holding and their P.O. address in Kyiv, their phone and FAX numbers, E-mail and web addresses are supplied.
Kit is suitable for children 14 years and older. Not suitable for children under 3 because of small parts with sharp points. In multiple languages, including English.

S.004, a U-Boat type XXIII, WWII German submarine and kit no. S.006. a U-B Boat type XXVIIB “Seehund” (early version) WWII German midget submarine.
No scales are given for these.

The bottom of the box is a marking and painting guide. It shows a top and side view of a Seehund in the box art scheme (already described above). It is how it looked at Kiel, May 1945.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX:
This kit holds one medium-grey parts tree and the decal sheet in a self-sealing clear cello bag.
The lone parts tree is not alphabetized, nor being just one does not have to be.
It holds all the parts of the sub and 2 torpedos and the display stand part (45 parts).

The decal sheet has a Kriegsmarine flag on it and white numerals. The flag has no swastika on the white circle on it. This is due to the insignia being outlawed in the Ukraine. Therefore it has been censored.
The instructions consists of a single sheet, folded in the center to create 4 pages in 5 ½” x 8” page format.
Page 1 begins with the history and specifications of the Seehund in Ukrainian and English, over the lone parts tree illustration. Three parts in this illustration are shaded out. Meaning they are excess and not needed to complete the model.
There is a small sheet of IMPORTANT INFORMATION about the kit, in multiple languages, including English.

There are no crew figures or clear parts included. However, there is a small clear dome shown on top of the conning tower and a clear part for that would have been nice to have included.
The instructions tell you to paint it silver. UGH! There are 2 sheets for the painting guides with the first for submarine no. 365
The second guide is for an unmarked submarine.
Highly recommended.
