HISTORY:
The MiG-29SMT is an upgrade package of the first-generation MiG-29s (9.12 to 9.13) containing many enhancements intended for the MiG-29M. Additional fuel tanks in a further enlarged spine provide a maximum flight range of 2,100 km on internal fuel.
The cockpit has an enhanced HOTAS design, two 152 × 203 mm (6 × 8 inch) color liquid crystal MFDs and two smaller monochrome LCDs. The upgraded Zhuk-ME radar provides similar features to the MiG-29M.
The power-plants are upgraded RD-33 ser.3 engines with after-burning thrust, rated the same at 8,300 kgf (81.4 kN) each. The weapons load was increased to 4,500 kg on six under-wing and one ventral hard-point, with similar weapon choices as for the MiG-29M variant. The upgraded aircraft has also a painted a path for non-Russian origin avionics and weapons.

The medium sized no. 2 sheet has stencils all in black and includes some narrow stripes.
The first marking guide’s face and reverse sides shows 6 line drawings that show where the stencils go on the sides and top of Mig-29 type 9-12 and 9-13 versions.
The second marking guide’s face and reverse sides shows 5 line drawings that show were the stencils go on the sides and top of Mig-29 type 9-51 and 9-13 versions.
The top of the third marking guide’s face shows a line drawing of where stencils go on the bottom of a Mig-29 type 9-51.
Below it and on the reverse side is line drawings showing where stencils go on weapons and their pylons. A paint list is at the bottom of the reverse side.
This is a neat set and will easily decorate a ton of Mig-29 kits.
However, I shudder a bit when I think of applying these stencils. They are really tiny for the most part, but very well done and an extensive sheet.
Highly recommended.
I want to sincerely thank Begemot for this decal set.
