THE KIT:
Tristar is an old prolific plastic model kit manufacturer, based in Hong Kong, China. They make all manner of plastic model kit subjects in the popular scales.
This kit comes in a shrink-wrapped, end-opening type box. I am no fan of this type of box, because invariably parts or the decal sheet will find their way past one of the end-flaps of the box to become lost forever. Give me a tray and lid type box any day of the week.
The cover art shows a color illustration of a FLAK 38 that is set up, off it’s limber, on a grassy field. It is overall Panzer grey.
The kit project was supervised by C.K. Pat and special thanks are given to Mr. Thomas Jentz and Mr. Tony Greenland.
One side-panel of the box says: Ready to assemble precision model kit. Cement and paint not included. Modeling skills helpful if under 10 years of age. The street address for Tristar’s office and Email number are provided, along with their street address, telephone, FAX and Email numbers in Hong Kong, China are also given. Kit was made in china.

A Late and Kit no. 35009, German Tropical Panzer Crew.
The bottom of the box is a color and decal guide for the model.
