I paid $14.06 for my kit, years ago at the Toy Fair store that was at the local mall and went out of business. They marked the kit down from $16.00.
THE KIT:
Dragon (sometimes named DML) is an old prolific plastic model kit manufacturer, based in Hong Kong, China. They make all manner of plastic model kit subjects in the popular scales.
The kit comes in a shrink-wrapped, tray and lid type box.
The kit gets its name WINDTALKER, from the movie produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc.
The cover art shows a large color illustration of a U.S. Marine in the center.
He is dressed in a khaki uniform, with a steel helmet that is covered with a camouflage cloth cover.
To the left of the big marine figure there is a black and white photo of 3 Japanese infantrymen. Two wear cloth billed field caps over white hoods on their heads and the 3rd man wears a steel helmet with net cover on it.
On his right there is a black and white photo of 15 U.S. Marines in a field. Twelve are standing and 3 are prone and aiming their rifles.
One side panel of the box begins with the copyright of the kit and Metro’s name for production of the movie “Windtalkers”. Followed by Dragon’s address in Hong Kong, China and kit was made there.

Not suitable for children under 3 years, because of small parts. Importer for Europe is Italeri in Italy. In multiple languages, including English.

The reverse side of the instruction sheet shows a front and rear view of the Japanese infantrymen.
Two men wear khaki uniforms. The other two wear khaki pants and tan shirts. All four have their legs, below their knees, wrapped in dark green cloth over low black shoes.
Two men wear tan cloth billed field caps. One wears a dark-green steel helmet and another man has a tan cloth cover on his helmet.
All four men wear full field gear on their belts and suspenders.
Letter A man, I think may be an officer. He is holding a samurai sword in his left hand and is pointing a pistol with his right hand.
The letter B man is aiming his carbine, that has a bayonet attached.
The letter C man is aiming his Type 100 submachine-gun.
The letter D man is the same as the letter B man.

The second large light-grey tree holds the parts of the U.S. Marine figures. Divided into separate heads, torsos, arms and legs. Also on the tree is 7 canteens, a pistol in a holster, 4 steel helmets, many ammo pouches and 4 bayonets (66 parts)
The medium-sized light-grey tree holds the Marine’s rifle with bayonet attached, an automatic rifle and the flame-thrower parts (12 parts)
The details are very good.
