THE BOOK:
MMP – Mushroom Model Publications is based in the UK. All their books are printed in English by their associate Stratus, who is based in Sandomierz, Poland.
Stratus also does their own series of books in both the Polish and English languages.
This book is hard-bound of 296 pages in 8” x 11 ¾” page format.
The cover art shows a black and white photo of a Junkers Ju96K in flight. This aircraft appears also in the book on pages 68 & 69 as 2 side view color profile illustrations.
It is in a wave pattern camouflage of RLM 61, Dunkelbraun (dark-brown) RLM 62 Grun (green) and RLM 63 Grungrau (green-grey) over lower surfaces of RLM 65 Hellblau (light-blue).
It has a blue letter M outlined in white on the sides of its nose, followed by an illustration of an eagle clutching a globe. It has the Swedish Air Force roundels are in the usual 6 positions. The blue letter M is repeated on the rudder. A yellow 17 is after the fuselage roundel.
The Swedish Air Force calls this aircraft a B38. Serial no. 156, F17 blue M, Marianne, F17 airfield Kallinge 1946.
The book contains 392 black and white photos and 33 color ones.
